1. How long have you been in business?
We have been doing this since 1993. We have done over 2,000 successful shows since then and continue to add more and more satisfied customers.

2. What does the price include?
Your price includes lighting, travel within 60 miles of Madison, setup fees and music to cover all ages. There are no hidden charges (unless you count tips :) ). Plus you get our
FREE dinner music!!

3. Do you provide Karaoke?
No, unfortunately we do not have Karaoke service. When we started the business we made a conscious decision not to enter this market because it can get sticky doing Karaoke at weddings and weddings are our major focal point for doing business.

4. Do your DJ's handle announcements for the wedding party?
Our disc jockeys will get as involved as you want them to be. Unless you specify otherwise, they will co-ordinate everything from the cake cutting to the dinner prayer to the wedding party speeches to just about anything you need to have done.

5. How far ahead should I book my reservation with you?
We generally fill up about 9 months to a year in advance. It is a funny industry. We can have no bookings one month and be sold out the next, so don't wait too long.

6. I don't see my "special song" on your list, can we bring it or will you still provide it?
We will make every effort we can to take any unnecessary work out of your hands. We will try to provide it for you, but in the rare event we cannot find it, you can most certainly bring it to us.

7. Do you have microphones available for speeches?
Each system comes complete with a wireless microphone system that accommodates even the largest of banquet facilities. We also have a backup hard wired microphone in case of emergencies.

8. Do you provide dinner music?
You bet we do and we
don't charge you for it either!!

9. How much is the deposit and is it refundable?
The deposit amount is $150 which is due in order to guarantee your reservation. We cannot honor a verbal commitment. Unfortunately we were burned too many times in the early going. Due to the nature of our business, the deposit is not refundable under any circumstance. However, at High Energy DJ's, we will allow you to retain a credit with our company if the show is cancelled 90 days prior to the event. If cancelled between 21 and 90 days, the deposit is simply forfeited with no credit. If cancelled less than 21 days before your event, we must hold you accountable for payment in full as it will be nearly impossible to rebook that spot on such short notice.

10. Can we choose a DJ for our event?
Our DJ's work very hard for the customers and do receive a bonus if they are requested for a show. So we encourage you to request a specific DJ if you have one in mind. We will make every effort possible to accommodate that request for you and for the DJ.

11. Why is your price so low compared to other DJ's I have called?
When I started the business in 1993, it was just for fun. Times have forced us to raise rates a bit, but we still enjoy this business tremendously and I personally feel that paying $700-$1000 for a DJ is simply highway robbery. I believe you can get the same quality from our company (most times even better) and if it saves you a few dollars along the way, we're happy to do that for you.

12. Do we get to select the music you play?
We first rely on the contract or
wedding planner to learn your musical preferences. We also have a song list that is sent out with our marketing packet, as well as an online database that you can look at. We encourage you to select a few songs that are "Must Plays" and let us mix in the traditional favorites and your guest requests.

13. Do your DJ's wear a tuxedo?
No we do not require tuxes, but you can bet we know how to dress the part. No jeans and T-shirts here. You will get a sharp dressed DJ ready to put on a professional show for you. We require dress slacks with dress shirt and tie with a vest or sport coat.

14. How far will you travel?
We have played shows from Minneapolis to Green Bay...Rockford to the Upper Peninsula. Wisconsin is our main hub of activity but we'd contract a show just about anywhere if you can get us there. Travel is FREE within the first 45 miles of our storage facility in the Sun Prairie area. After that we will quote you a travel fee that goes directly to the DJ to compensate them for their extra travel time and vehicle expense to come to your destination.

15. The web site is nice...now how do I go about reserving you?
Two ways...1) Fill out either the
online wedding planner or the request for information and a representative will get back to you within 48 hours to give you directions on making the deposit and where to send it...or 2) You can call Scott at 800-483-2525 and we'd be happy to send you a marketing packet with all of the necessary information to take that step.
